Education and Schools
In Marineland Mallorca we have an Educational Department that has been carrying out, for more than 20 years, an Education Program aimed at schoolchildren from different
ages. This program aims to educate for the conservation of biodiversity, contributing to the increase of environmental awareness, motivating sustainable attitudes that help to build an ever better world.
The activity with the schoolchildren takes place first in the Escuela del Mar. The animals that are the object of the study are then observed in order to point out and reinforce what has been learned. In general, the main characteristics of animals are explained: their anatomy, biology, habitat, relationship in the food chain, conservation problems, etc. The participation of schoolchildren is encouraged to reinforce concepts and attitudes and stimulate reasoning.
Do you want to meet the members of our large family of animals in Marineland and enjoy while you learn exciting and interesting things?
During the visit, you will tour Marineland, discovering a wide range of animals. We offer to you the two following types of visits:
- Free visit
Adapted to any age, it allows you to visit Marineland freely. In this option, the teacher is in charge of leading the group during the tour. In this way, you will be able to get to know our marine zoo autonomously, taking a walk through the different animal facilities and studying them with the help of our educational panels.
- Guided visit
The activity takes place in the sea classroom, with an educational talk with an educator where we will explain the characteristics, biology and curiosities of our animals. The duration of this activity is approximately 45 minutes. Once finished, the educator will accompany the students to the different exhibits in the park. Maximum number of students: 40
*Both options include the entrance to spend the whole day in the park, the exhibitions of exotic birds, sea lions and dolphins and the entrance to the children’s pool during the bathing season.
